Heather Jessop

Chief Executive Officer

My name is Heather Jessop and I am the Chief Executive of Citizens Advice Liverpool. As CEO I am responsible for providing strategic leadership and helping to set the direction of the charity.

I work closely with the Trustees and Senior Management Team to deliver our objectives and ensure our service remains effective and relevant to clients’ needs. I have worked for Citizens Advice services in Liverpool for more than 35 years. Starting as a volunteer with Netherley Citizens Advice while at college, I was motivated both by the drive and passion of the team, and the depth and impact of services provided.

Thanks to the quality of training and support provided, volunteering with Citizens Advice opens up so many opportunities. After a happy year as a general advice volunteer, I specialised in Money Advice and joined the Debt team and Liverpool County Courts. I was then appointed Deputy Manager for Kensington Citizens Advice, before becoming Chief Officer of Wavertree Citizens Advice. I took up the role of Chief Executive in 2016.

Since then my focus has been heading up a merger of four Citizens Advice services, to develop a single coordinated Citizens Advice service, for the people of Liverpool. Outside of work, I have two sons and enjoy swimming and cycling.
