ICT Manager and Administration

I am passionate about technology, the third sector, and the positive force of volunteering and collaboration. Leading the ICT, administration, communications and innovations teams, I am responsible for the ongoing development of these areas and the provision of unified, secure ICT systems - as well as overseeing the team’s development, digitisation of processes and external collaborative relationships.

Developing team members and our external relationships are the key aspects of the role I enjoy most. In all endeavours, I am mindful that the team's work supports the organisation to deliver free, confidential, and impartial advice to our clients – and that this aim remains central to our work.

Prior to joining Citizens Advice Liverpool, I worked in the Hospitality, Higher Education and not-for-profit sectors, with ICT being a constant theme in my roles throughout. I was attracted to this role as it offered the opportunity to make a positive impact on the service by merging the ICT systems of four local Citizens Advice offices to form Citizens Advice Liverpool in 2018.

It truly is a pleasure to work with a committed team - both directly with the teams I manage and more widely as one team across Citizens Advice Liverpool - as well as with our external partners and stakeholders. 2020 was a particularly challenging year for all. As a digitally innovative organisation we were able to embrace the challenge, and we are excited to continue to progress this work into the future.

In my spare time I enjoy walking trips, running, badminton, learning French and Spanish, and visiting family and friends. I have a remote volunteering role with Crohns and Colitis UK, and previously volunteered for Nightline and Samaritans.
