Financial Capability
IT’s All About Money – Evaluation Phase is a Money Advice Service What Works Fund Project aiming to assess the effectiveness of financial capability interventions for older people in retirement, through an action-research initiative which provides group and one-to-one sessions on a range of money management topics. The project built on a three-year older persons’ money management service funded by Comic Relief and delivered by the same partnership; Citizens Advice Liverpool, Age Concern Liverpool and Liverpool Community Advice.
Delivery of the project took place in a variety of community settings including sheltered housing schemes, community centres, older people’s lunch or activity clubs and pensioner forums. One-to-one sessions took place in advice centre premises or by home visit.

Sessions covered one or more of the following topics:
-
Dealing with Financial Difficulties
-
Planning for Later Life
-
Managing Money and Staying Safe Online
-
